Studio Thinking: The Real Benefits of Visual Arts Education changed the conversation about quality arts education. Many elementary and middle school teachers found the original Studio Thinking concepts applicable to their classrooms and created age-appropriate ways to illuminate Studio Habits of Mind for their students. This new publication shows how the eight Studio Habits of Mind and four Studio Structures can be used successfully with younger students in a range of socioeconomic contexts and school environments.

 

Collected here are ideas and resources appropriate for these students, many created by innovative teachers whose ideas can be scaled up by high school teachers.
